The WIP for Panther continue. Well, nothing much to talk about actually…I got totally busy having fun with other things and left the Panther abandoned for quite sometime :D the current status is that the fitting is done and the tank is ready for some paint job ^^
Hello guys :D
The Hobby Heaven workshop has finally completed a diorama which features a 1/35 M4A3 Sherman equipped with a 105mm Howitzer and three winter themed US soldiers.
“The Longest Winter“
You can always tell the unique environment at the end of winter season. The snow are already melted, the muddy ground, some people already feel warmer, and some tanks are already showing their true colors. If there is one thing that stays the same even after winter waves good bye, it’s that the battle still goes on for the US soldiers in Ardennes.
The Longest Winter diorama captures the moment when it all happens. Exhausted because of a war that seems would never end, spending Christmas far away from home, while still facing bullets from the Nazi. Tanks and human, they were all express the exhaustion. In the end, everyone need to cover each other. For these three soldiers, I believe that they are really glad to have the Tank that wins the World War II on their side.
Hello there good fellas :D
This is the last update of the Work in Progress. Which means that the update after this, you’ll gonna see the finished version of this project. I really can’t wait. As for today, I’m gonna show you the images of how the figures in this diorama were painted. So let’s just start on that :D
Hello guys, today I would like to show you the update on the tank’s simple base. Yup, I decided that since the kit comes with three figure of soldier, it’ll be a huge waste if i don’t use them in a simple diorama :D A winter camouflaged tank belongs in a winter themed diorama. Meaning that I have to learn to create snow as well as the muddy winter environment. And this is the result:
Part 5 of the Sherman build! This time, I’ll take you to the worn out looks of the Sherman as well as how to achieve that look :D As I’ve mentioned on my previous post, the theme for this build is winter. The time when the battlefield is colored in white and times when the soldiers are fighting in cold blood. Here is how most of the tanks in European winter looks like:
The winter camouflage…all white in order to make the tank blends with the snow environment. In painting this model, I spray an acrylic gloss coat after I apply the decals. Since I used an acrylic color as the based color, I choose an enamel for the white color. This is to ensure that when I give some heavy weathering on the white paint, the green base color wouldn’t be damaged.
Hello everyone, time for more update on the Sherman tank that I’ve been working on :D Up until now, it’s been a smooth sailing with the Sherman. Nothing is going wrong and I really hope it stays that way :D
The Sherman is back :D I have to postpone the progress of this Sherman since I sign up for the Modern Warfare Group Build in a local forum. Anything with deadline should always comes first :D But now the Bergepanzer is already done, and there’s no reason not to continue this kit. There will be some changes from the original plan though…looking at the condition here, it is impossible to create a diorama for this project, so I have to drop that idea T.T as an alternative, I could have more time to deal with the details on the tank itself…I don’t know whether it’s gonna work or not, but I plan to upgrade my weathering skill with this tank.
